PRE-PRODUCTION STARTS TODAY!

Hey guys, this is the first official post of pre-production. I'm handling the two main characters, Lisa and Alex - but I need some help for the last four (technically, because the pilot is rarely seen ).
So basically, here's a roughed out drawing for each of them. The easiest to do would be the black chick, right below the text. The hardest would either be the asian, or the Northern European girl who has no design yet so I just threw something down in photoshop.

If you're interested, gimme a shout on MSN or facebook and I'll give you more drawings of the girl you want to work on.

Thought I'd clarify, unless it says I don't have a design, right on the drawing - the design's pretty much there. I really want people to refine them, however, and people who might want to animate them in the future. Figure them out, kind of thing. :)

Also - inspiration paintings to come later this week.

Flight Crew - 09

FLIGHT is a summer project, for third year students (with exceptions) from the Sheridan BAA: Animation Program. It's essentially the preparation and possibly the production of a five-to-six minute short, as written by Leisha-Marie Riddel (also a student).

I decided to make it a group project after I realized the potential of the portfolio pieces that could come from developing the story in full. I also realized I couldn't do it alone.

FLIGHT originally started off as a segement of a greater story (SOLACE) and remains as such, however, it works as a short film on its own. It's concerning the escape of seven captives in an alternate future world - and they use an airship to escape. However they run into a barricade and have to fight their way through. It's quite the action sequence.

Before anyone says, how in God's name will you finish a six minute film from July 17th to the beginning of the school year? I don't plan on it. I want to be able to take it through pre-production, and possibly start animations on it.

People working on it are essentially independents working towards the completion of a greater whole, and by that I mean, I'm not forcing people to come together and work on it at the same time. If a layout's done, then people can start animating, and if they finish an approved rough, then they can start clean up.

For pre-production, I will be boarding it out with a few others during our Co-Op work term on the weekends and at night, and the pre-production aspect such as Location Design and Characters can be developed simulatenously.

Anyone is welcome to join and contribute, but I don't appreciate any sort of argumentativeness. Also, keep in mind this is not the third year film project, and that things are not decided by a vote - this is directed by me.

Pre-Production will start April 30th.
If you decided to join in, just send me an e-mail at leishamarie.riddel@gmail.com, other than that - Thanks!
